These contributors have varied perspectives around relationships, love and sex, and their different ages and life experiences inform their thinking and opinions.

Today most of us chuckle at the advice given to women during the mid -20^th century.

Suburban woman, who were instructed to attend to their husbands every need. Cook good meals, keep the house tidy, be bright and pleasant, listen attentively – don’t talk too much or complain. Never question his judgment or integrity. In short – to know their place.

In the bedroom a woman’s job was to please her man, don’t be a Frigid Franny or a sexual vampire.

By the 22^nd century, people will probably look back on the scribbling’s and advice given to men and women today, and chuckle just as we do now, because the bedposts would have shifted yet again.

But the searing pain of a broken heart, the emotional turmoil of rejected love, remains unchanged, whether wrapped in draconian rules and left to fester inside, or strewn all over social media for the world to read – I don’t believe this will ever change.
